This report and the one before it is for 2 anglers CT and AW.
Worst day of the season here at Wyebank - The canoe traffic was horrendous today - non stop and plenty of swimmers also. The canoe traffic did not calm down until well gone 16.00hrs
It was so bad today you could not keep a rod in the water properly for any length of time.
On top of the fished from 10.30 to 19.15 - CT had the only one barbel take all day and the fish bumped off in weed.
Blanked

Tricky day in very low water levels, the huge beds of streamer weed also mean that some swims are almost unfishable. Canoes were a menace as ever on the Wye, had to rescue one canoe after it capsized and drifted off without its inhabitants for which they were very grateful. Despite the tricky conditions a truly wonderful stretch of river to fish and a very enjoyable day.

River was low and clear so bites were hard to come by for most of the day. Managed 5 Barbel between us on meat and boiles casting accross to the gully beneath the trees on the far bank. Biggest fish was about 6llbs.
The shear volume of canoes were a real problem (well over 200) with several capsized and people walking down the river. It was pretty much un fishable for several hours. This can be a prolific beat, but I wouldnt recommend it during the summer months.
