Fished on 26/06 with little success but conditions looked much better today. Unfortunately the fish were just not feeding, very odd as water had dropped considerably and had cleared. Quite unbelievably we did not have a bite between us. Beware of the snag in bottom swim, I can only assume its a tree as was snagging up from level with the post on the far bank for 20-25yds down stream.

River still quite high so not easy to hold bottom. Seems to be a large snag in bottom swim which made it almost inmpossible to fish without losing end gear.

Not able to fish. The water level was too high and prevented us from getting to the pools as the water covered the pathway.

Nothing caught and no bites... not really surprising as this really is a spot better fished in lower water conditions - rather than the dropping flood we arrived to... Never mind. I'll be interested to see how the Courtfield anglers did on the same day as there's some much better high water swims up there...

Tough day with the cold weather and the pace of the water. Spent most of the day on the float and picked off a few (lost more than I care to remember), and moved across to the feeder for the afternoon/evening. Brief feeding spell around 5pm meant we had a few bites in quick succession.
Best Chub 3lb 9oz, and another similar. Rest around a pound or so. One trout of maybe 3lb (fantastic looking fish) but rest about a pound.
