Fished this venue loads of times , river very low and some sort of Algae in margins also covering weed in river .Fishing difficulty had a few fish to start with but has it got warmer so fishing got harder. We decided to pack up early due to conditions . Overall fishing been difficult due to low water and heat can fully understand venues being closed. But always a pleasure to fish the wye

Chose this venue as I knew I could wade out and float fish. Had 10 chub from 1-3 lb but no barbel, great fun on the float though, alternating sweet corn and pellet, it's also much easier to do with the canoes coming through and had some good banter with all of them. Finished in the lower pool on the feeder for 3 barbel, 2 around 2 lb a 1 around 4, no problem with any going back.

River was very low and water temperature also very warm. Plenty of algae and weed in eddies and slow moving areas of the beat. Only fished late afternoon and evening. Not too many canoeists which made a good change. The weather was terrible, arrived in bright sun and within two hours it was thundering and lightning with huge downpour. River came up a couple of inches and loads and debris washed in which coloured water. Really struggled to get a bite and only got two fish, one chub on the float with corn and one barbel on the feeder with pellet.

River very low with fishing over thick weed. A warm and bright afternoon gave way to a cloudy evening and the fishing improved accordingly. The last three hours brought all the barbel with another five or six lost. As usual on this beat most of the barbel were small, but the catch included three probably approaching the four pound mark. All on feeder and pellet.
