When the river is high Wyebank becomes problematic and the croys were nowhere to be seen when we arrived....Despite the testing conditions the fish were feeding as clearly the slight drop in water over the past couple of days helped our cause.
Much to our delight we managed to catch some cracking Dace some of which were in the the 8 to 10oz bracket a few nice chub and a couple of good Barbel over 7lb.
The boat traffic was lighter than usual due to the adverse conditions and clearly some people are braver than us....We observed a young couple paddle down the racing river together on a bodyboard with no life jackets on and the lad was wearing chest waders!! Each to their own I guess...

Had a great day fishing Wyebank, using mainly feeder and pellets I caught throughout the day.
The Barbel were all in the 1-3lb range and while a little disappointed not to bag any larger barbel, despite upscaling baits, I have to say how enjoyable it was, catching the small Barbel and I was amazed at the fighting qualities of the beautifully conditioned fish in the low snaggy water. The single Chub was a PB.
Lots of kayaks and canoes which I expected, mainly they were respectful and friendly.
