2 Barbel, 3 Chub, 2 Other

Ledger fished from 2pm to 6pm for Barbel using pellets. The river was in full flow following the recent rain. Water was fast-flowing , muddy and a lot of debris was floating downstream. No fish caught. Weather was warm and sunny!

River was about 4 feet up and coloured. Three barbel to 7.15 and a 4lb chub caught on pellet and feeder. I fished two swims in the meadow and both had serious submerged snags so unfortunately terminal tackle was lost multiple times.

Currently swim choice is very limited especially if more than one angler is fishing. This beat requires some work to open up swims that have become overgrown. This isn't a call for manicured banks as I like a bit of 'wild' fishing!

River had risen significantly overnight. Really tough conditions, which shows in the results.

Plenty of water and great conditions, but nobody told the fish. A tough day for a couple of chub and eels.

Good day out for barbel, river rising… I had 3 all between 4/6,5 lb. No luck for my mate fishing for pike with the river in that conditions

4 anglers fished; 2 on Wyebank and 2 on Courtfield. A couple opf bigger Barbel caught on Courtfield, and as per the day before plenty of small barbel, chub and dace caught on Wyebank. Bigger fish showing towards dark on Wyebank.

Only fished the morning, started at the bottom end of the stretch without any bites then moved to the meadow area and managed to winkle out a couple of chub on pellet. Lovely morning and the weather is great for September but we desperately need some rain for the river.
