A pleasant autumn day, with the river more or less back to normal level and clear. All the fish fell to pellet feeder, though other methods were tried, including rolled meat.

Fished in very bright and hot October conditions and struggled a bit.
Two of us in meadow and one in woods, only one barbel caught.
A lot of weed started coming down mid morning making fishing very difficult .
Like Courtfield though and normally fish it when we come down

Water was thinning out in colour, low flow and bright sunshine.
