Wet and very windy, untrottable so stayed on the feeder all day, if it wasn't blowing a downstream hoolie I'd have pinned it and had scores of chub and more barbel, the swim was full of them, couldn't hit them on the feeder.

River low very hard day for the both of us, tried different swims and different baits a 4lb chub last cast saved me from blanking, was surprised as usually catch well here

We caught 7 Barbel & 14 Chub in the faster water, best Barbel 9lb 10oz.

We caught 3 Barbel & 38 Chub between 2 1/2lb & 4lb 12oz, the Chub fishing on the river this year has been exceptional.

Despite what appeared to be good conditions the fish did not share that opinion and failed to show in any numbers and bites were very hard to come by
