3 Barbel, 30 Chub

After a hot, hard week decided to only fish the 2 hours before lights out resulting in just 1 fish.

Enjoyable day on a beautiful beat....one of the Chub made 5lb.Another angler on far bank had 3 Barbel but unfortunately none for us.

River low and clear with weather hot and sunny. Tried various swims and tactics with the Barbel only appearing after the final cast so all in all a very disappointing day. Will hope for better upon our return on Friday. Thanks to DC for the rolling meat tuition.

A tough day with no Barbel. Only 2 of the chub were of any size, both around 1lb 8oz.

A hard day's fishing, weather condition seemed perfect but that was not the case. 3 anglers fished the faster water due to river conditions being low.
SC had 3 Barbel from 7lbs to 8.2 and 4 chub
JC had 5 chub on the float
AC had 4 chub on the float

A tough day on a low river. Perseverance payed off with a 7 1/2 lb barbel on a Halibut Marine pellet from the last cast of the day.

Had a very good day on this great beat,amazing what a difference the cloud cover makes,started around mid day and both found fish straight away.fish caught on swim feeder or PVA bag and pellet hookbait,,some nice fish with the biggest ones at 9 lbs 9 oz and 9 lbs 8 oz.Looking forward to returning here
