Our favourite beat but we struggled. River is low but looked good. Nothing but chub during the day and the barbel came in the last hour.

Conditions the same as yesterday. Very hot day. All barbel came late in the day. Others were dace

River was looking good. Plenty of swims available as Andy the gamekeeper has done a great job creating new swims. Roved around and caught steadily throughout the day. All barbel between 7.3 lbs and 9.4 lbs.

Another great session on the Wye. Having only fished this beat once before it was good to see the amount of work that has been done to create so many swims, thanks.
Biggest Barbel 8.6lb.

River was looking really good with normal levels but a good colour. Barbel and Chub all caught on boilies using groundbait and pellet feeder. Thanks to Andy the gamekeeper for putting me in the right area. Look forward to coming back.

Enjoyable day but fishing not prolific as seems to be the case generally on the wye this season so far

A bit steadier than previous visits this time. We found a few fish in the afternoon on feeder tactics but they dried up unlike the rain. River still up 2 feet at least. Plenty of accessible swims, some with ropes.

River at normal level, but still with some colour. Fish were caught through-out the day on a mixture of different pellet sizes and types.
