First visit this year to Llanddewi and found plenty of water. The Llanddewi gauge was showing around 0.3 and falling.
Started to clear in the couple of hours I fished but should be perfect in the next couple of days. 8 Trout 6 to 10 inches nymphing with french leader.

Fine sunny day with 0.17m on the gauge, and running perfectly for dry fly. Trout are now showing in the riffles. All trout were small and taken on a Kite's Imperial, which is ideal for this time of year. Some stock fencing is detached and hanging due to the earlier floods. Access is still good but a tad trickier than was previously possible.

River at a good height (0.19 at llandewi), water v clear. Beautiful sunny day. Fished the bottom 2/3 of the beat. 3 trout to the net on a hares ear fished on a French leader. Largest just over a pound. Surprisingly lots of space for casting, but means that spooking is easily done.

My first visit to WUF fishing so this was very much a recce . River .4 on the gauge - just after I started fishing a guy appeared on the opposite bank who said it needs to be .35 or below. I fished for a couple of hours with a heavy nymph but nothing doing. About 11am a few LDO’s (?) started coming off but nothing rising.

2 x grayling 15 and 16 inches, trotting. An odd morning searching a few pools; two good fish eventually, but no takes at all from smaller graying. Warm air temperature and river at a good height.

Enjoyable day float fishing red maggots. Water quite low, found most of the fish at the lower end of the beat near the town. All in beautiful condition between half and 1.5lb, lost several including a couple of larger ones.

First time out on a recc'ie here at Llandewi and a lovely beat it is I thought, quite a novelty for a wild stream beat actually I think, lots and lots of space to swing the rod and river of good size too ! Still the barbed wire fencing to do the dance with of course but once over you can walk lots of the bank/wade easily.
River had quite a bit of 'skinny' water and perhaps a good handful of very nice looking pools (some with nice cover & LWD) one could spend fair time at but add to that a couple of very long runs (of quite some depth it looks !) that looked superb for trotting a stick float ! Was just on the fly today but will be packing the centrepin next time for sure . !
Llandewi gauge height approximately 0.25m and pushing through perfect for the fly or stick float at this height it seemed to me . A nasty Easterly blowing today though.
Wading was generally easy and I covered the water today from the road bridge up to the layby parking not having enough daylight to work up to the top. Good parking there at layby actually as well but possibly easy to miss if coming from Crossgates way as the layby sign is only properly visible if coming from Newtown direction.
Only had the one grayling today but didn't really get enough time to put any serious effort in but it was a nice and very solid fish that refused to throw the towel in quickly ! Got in a slight pickle trying to unhook in the net in the water so unhooked quickly at Rivers edge and a chance for a very quick snap taken. Swam off nice and strong after giving it time so very happy indeed with all of that.
Very pleased overall and really am looking forward to getting back in the river here !
BTW , I stopped overnight in the van at Fforest fields camp/caravan site a ways up the road. Fantastic site with hotel quality facilities and all the hot water you wanted !. Such decadence....
