Very strong downstream wind. River started at reasonable height and clarity but coloured up rapidly and was, basically, a waste of time after an hour or so. Left early - in a hailstorm! Suspect beat will be great in right conditions.

Almost another wash off at Dinas, but the river was just about fishable, albeit only with jig woolly buggers ! Quite exciting fishing with numerous connections. Managed to land two @ 12” but lost several including two in the 16-18” range in the heavy flow. When will Spring finally arrive ?

Tough fishing in squally wind, rain and hail. One brown trout between two anglers. Best fishing was in the deeper water at the top end of the reservoir near the bird hide.
