Explored some of of the less fished water today and had the odd fish throughout the beat. A few decent sized trout at the top of the spring pool saved the day.Grayling seemed to have moved on since yesterday.

Good conditions today. Equal number of trout and grayling, mostly caught on a bright pink shrimp pattern at the tail of the Ferry.

Arrived at 3 and fished the same swim as yesterday better weather today cloudy and overcast 1 small chub first cast then a barbel of 9lb at 4-15 nothing then until 7-30 then 7 chub in the last hour 3lb 8oz, 4lb 2oz, 4lb 2oz, 4lb 6oz, 4lb 10oz, 5lb and 5lb 8oz.same method as yesterday.2 excellent days fishing on my favourite Wye and usk beat.

Best barbel was 6lb 8 , best chub was 5lb 4 , very enjoyable days fishing, the 1 other was a common carp of 10lb 8 , was a surprise to see , not seen in over 10 years of fishing this lovely river

Another good day at middle hill court 18 barbel,6 chub.baits pellets and corn on feeder.canoists were a pain.bailiff very helpful.

This is the first time I’ve fished a wild beat and it won’t be the last, Weather was cool with light showers and the fishing was tough, managed 5 to the net taken on small PTNs on the more open riffles on the top beat.

A little bit of confusion at the Trout in with the parking as I was told could not park there so parked up around the corner just down from the gate before the bridge. Other than that, a lovely day

The river looked really nice on this well maintained fishery, with sky grey and overcast throughout the day.
Despite this however we failed to get even a knock throughout the whole day, dispute trying a number of swims along the fishery and a combination of baits.
