Another fantastic day on Wyebank conditions were better than a couple of weeks ago with the levels having dropped a little. Fish caught on the bottom and middle pools all fell to pellet paste and cage feeder. As usual the access to this beat is excellent and I managed to fish the whole day without falling in!! Will definitely be back next month.

Started at the top. JD went right from the access, AW went left. JD found the fish and caught 4 in just over an hour on PTN. AW had a blank- one take to a dry by the bridge. Nothing for either of us after that- hard work at the bottom of the beat - there are handy steps down from the top path but at the end of it, you would need a hook to get back to the bank.
Lovely sunny afternoon, water clear to 2ft. Shared a lunchtime wood fired pizza at the Griffin. before the of. Excellent pub- V. freindly.

Quite tough today, downstream breeze, pretty cold and not much hatching, although some caddis did get going in the afternoon. A few fish reacted to those which saved the day - two trout on caddis pattern nymphs 12 and 8", and also a salmon parr of 7" on a CDC and Elk . Beautiful stretch of river - lots of kingfisher, grey wagtail and dipper activity, and had one of the latter wading up a riffle underwater ahead of me at one point! Access to a few of the sections is pretty tricky at the moment down a steep and very overgrown bank. A ladder in one or two spots would really help especially for older/less mobile anglers, but then I did really love the wild character of this beat - thanks again for a lovely day!

Beautiful day out in such a wild place with several splashy bites to sedge hogs and one lovely 10inch brownie taken on a orange nymph with slow figure of eight retrieval. Difficult getting around the edge due to boggy conditions but a wonderful day out and the weather was pleasant mild overcast with some sunny spells and light wind. But more ripple might have helped as once wind dropped a bit the surface action ceased. I only managed to fish the bank with the Christmas tree. My first trip here so I will be back to have another crack and hopefully give the other bank a try
