Upstream dry fly klinkhammer. A couple of really fussy fish but worth the persistence. Access will be a problem if you struggle with mobility.
Great to see Rockfield Studios, an iconic recording studio.
Very few mayfly, not much fly life in general.

Tough going in the middle of the day with bright sunshine and low water. A few takes to PTN fished under a klinkhammer. Good evening rise from 7pm with some nice fish landed and bigger ones lost. Couldn’t quite work out what they were feeding on but takes came to various olive dries and emergers

A lovely secluded section of the river, although access to the fishing is challenging as the banks were overgrown and had to hack through nettles and brambles to even see the river from the fields. Chest waders are essential as there is no fishing available from the bank. Trout were rising periodically and where I was able to cover them they we taking my dry fly. Had to leave a lunchtime, but would love to have stayed for the evening rise. A very enjoyable and reasonably challenging morning's fishing!

Hot sunshine and low levels on the upper Lugg this morning. Lots of Coch y bonddu beetles hatching in the river meadows.
A few Mayfly hatching from midday and occasional trout rising. Managed half a dozen trout in the 3 hours I was there on a mix of dries and nymphs.
