Spinning all day with a variety of Mepps and Tobies, including patterns that have worked well before. Not a thing all day, only saw one fish moving the whole day.

First visit to the River Wye and a great beat to start on. Have never blanked on this beat although the weather wasn't the best. With easy excess to the river and easy parking it has been a good friend. Please note the tree fallen across river is now parked up onto opposite bank and doe not spoil access. Was more worried with the amount of blanket weed as my GRHE nymph turned green. 3 x fish on the GHRE and x 1 on a Johnathan Barnes emerger pattern on size 12 jig hooks. Will be back when things warm up. PS: Had a great stay at the Cedars Guest house - Builth Wells, lovely breakfast 5 stars.
