What can I say for our first visit to Lower Symonds Yat??...... stunning venue to blank at!! Not so much as a sniff!!
Spent most of the day just downstream of the Biblins bridge trotting meat as so much Autumnal debris made fishing the feeder almost impossible. This method worked for us on other stretches of the Wye, I guess today we just didn't land on fish despite several moves.

Lovely days fishing. River up a bit and coloured so good conditions for barbel and they obliged to the feeder and pellet tactics.some cracking chub too were caught on the same method a great autumn session .

Very good day on the leadger baited with a bait dropper every hour or so for the morning had 3 barbel between 5-7lb from 7:30ish until 11 then started the bait dropper again around 2pm had 3 very nice chub and close to a double barbel last hour of light

Good directions and access. Managed to land four fish, another couple eluded the net. Moved 5 times till I found a swim I could cast ,fish, land and return safely. My best day of the season, this place is marmite. I thought I was in for another blank but perseverance paid off and I will definitely be back.
