River low and featureless. Fished first field but only 3 swims accessable. Top field full of cows so stayed clear. Had a 9lb pike lip hooked on luncheon meat.

Second day on courtfield fished by the manhole cover in the field, managed to park the car by the woods, then the nightmare started, the path through to legg meadow was so overgrown with brambles etc it was horrendous. I thought the pegs above the manhole cover looked dangerous and steep , I never had bite which made it worse, I don’t mind blanking that’s fishing but maybe the paths should be cut back

Love this stretch of river, conditions not great with water levels very low and not much flow, started the day at the top of the beat in the faster water, lots of chub caught and 2 nice barbel biggest approx 8lb. All fell to feeder and pellet or bollie. Moved down stream later on and caught some nice chub as the light faded. Such a pleasure to fish this river and once again left with huge smiles on our faces.

Lovely beat. Water low, saw a fair few trout who had obviously seen me as I tried to find a casting spot.
1- 12" trout and 1- 8" only fished bottom half of beat as only had morning. Great place. Thanks.

Nice spot. No fish to be seen. Fished hard for 4 hours, tried lots of methods of nymphing and a few dries.
Nothing but a tiny salmon parr.
Stunning none the less
