Sunny, warm and very low water. Occasional fish showing but lack of flow made it impossible (for me) to present a fly well.
In the afternoon , despite the river being on its bones, a canoeist 'paddled' in front of me - scraping across rocks with his paddle hitting the river bed. Unbelievable really.
I asked him what he was thinking but needless to say he didn't respond particularly well.

Weather lovely, river still very low. Lots of eventful canoeing episodes, groundings and capsizes. All very entertaining. Fishing fairly slow to start. I challenged my self to catch on 4 methods, floating crust, trundled meat, stick float and feeder. I have tried this on a number of occasions but never succeeded on all four until today. Steve caught a PB Barbel so a fine day was had by all. Most fish came in the last two hours of light.
