Nice place hard to locate fish water v low colour ok parking not good entrance with bad holes take care if u go?

First visit here. Really enjoyed the session, scenic and quiet. Just upstream of one of my favourite beats the Creel. Fished afternoon till evening. Good variety of swims for such a short stretch. Will be back here.

One Barbel 5:07 and four chub to 4:03
Using groundbait feeder with pellet.
Robin red 12mm bollies and Scopex and Squid 15mm bollies.

fished all day and not a bite until 6pm. landed 2 fish both 11 pound couldn't get them feeding today !

This place has more barbel than water!

Just couldn't get amongst the better fish this time with around 20 of those fish being under 3lb. Great fro the future of the river and lovely to see. Had a couple of chub around 4lb but the rest were small. Have previous had an average stamp of 4lb up to doubles.

River was perfect with dropping colour and a little extra height and flow. Fished hair rigged single or double 8mm pellet and feeder. Be prepared to lose a lot of feeders. The rocks were a nightmare. So probably better to fish a heavier feeder and get it to sit hard but I only had 50g feeders.

Still yet to catch under 15 fish in a day here. Started at 1030am had 12 in the first 90 mins, then a steady catch rate until evening. The indian next to the car park is great too.

Would be nice if litter wasn't left and access was improved a little. Still think it's overpriced so my time here is probs done now.

Good conditions. All fish on feeder and boillies.
Chub to 4lb and barbel to 8lb.

Halibut pellet 14mm was the bait with a feeder full of ground bait, pellet etc.

Another 1st for me on this beat and another successful session it turned out to be! The day was warm and cloudy at times with a bit of colour in the water . Access to swims is generally good with the main push of the river towards the near bank. Parking in the field is the only issue as the access is badly rutted. Fished in the afternoon until about 7.30pmish ( one day I’ll fish the prime time!) and ended up with 6 barbel to just over 9lbs and 4 chub to just shy of 5lb all fish coming to mini boilies or meat . The barbel all fought like demons in the near bank gulleys and came from 3 different swims. Another enjoyable day on a W&U stretch and one I would definitely return to !
