Great days fishing. The only thing that let it down but definitely didn’t spoil our day was the amount of discarded line left by previous anglers. Really disappointed that anyone would leave it. But I suppose life is full of idiots. We cleaned it up When we got there so no great trouble.

Fishing was great. As expected slowed down mid day. Had a laugh with the canoe paddlers and relaxed. 4 barbel and a dace. Pretty good for 2 over the hill codgers. Finally great paperwork and advice from the beat owner.

Very slow day on the river. Beautiful beat though, plenty of variety - probably my favourite.
Great to meet the owner who really kindly took time to help me improve my technique with french leader - so generous.

Beautiful stream but low tree branches can make casting difficult in places. Wading staff recommended for some areas. Overcast skies, with periodic light rain, little or no wind. Walked most of the beat between 12:30pm - 5pm. Caught four brown trout in reasonable condition. Caught one on a purple klinkhammer, two on parachute adams, and one on a dark-bodied CdC and elk-hair sedge. All trout were 10cm - 15cm. Two dippers, and four grey wagtail, seen along the river.

1 Brown Trout caught and released, 1 other angler on the bank near us, we only saw 2 fish rising all day. A really quiet day but enjoyable fishing.

Had an enjoyable day. The weather had turned a little colder which put the fish off a bit.
