Day bright sun and very hot , fished from 6.45 to 20.45 . New it would be tough but having paid a fair sum to fish an exclusive stretch was not well pleased to have to cope with an Armada of canoes some of which were very curtious to be fair all manner of swimmers large groups of people comming ashore yards away and having parties and swearing drinking playing loud rap music .we caught the fish after 1900 hours but the river traffic was still high till we left .Would have been more peacefully at a water park ,never book this stretch in summer we put a lot of effort and expense to come down to fish here and our next day fishing is the upstream beat of this same area . Not looking forward to it .

The scenary was outstanding however there was 12 rods in the area we were and not one fish was taken for 11 hours of fishing. Not sure when the reservoir was stocked last or how frequently. But still a nice location to spend the day.

No fish caught again .And a lot of anglers all saying the same fishing all day and not having a bite.Is it being stocked the ranger said it was the day before.(how many) .With the booking fee it cost me £16.00 two weeks running £32.00 to sit on the side of the reservoir i can do that for nothing it's just ripping the anglers off again.
