Nothing doing but cold NE wind

Nymphs.
Cold downstream wind and sunshine through the morning.
Fishing was slow with the olive hatch not really turning the fish on.
Stopped fishing just after midday.

The weather was quite changeable, but a stiff down stream breeze made the fishing a little difficult.

There was a hatch of march browns, but unfortunately this didn't bring the fish up. Only one fish was seen rising all day, which I managed to tempt with claret clinkhammer.

All other fish came to nymphs either fished duo, or under a New Zealand indicator.

Another bitter northerly. Nothing hatching. Managed to winkle one out. Hard going.

Cool with a difficult downstream (NW) breeze, but a bit of sun. No significant hatch or rise. The duo worked to an extent in the riffles, with 5 fish from 12 to 16 inches (all on weighted PTN (16)).
