Started at 7am, but despite missing an early take, no other fish until around 9am when the sun started to shine through the clouds. Throughout the morning I had a couple of barbel (up to 6lb) and a couple of chub (3 - 4lb). It went quiet between 12 and 13:30ish, then rolling barbel and chub signalled the return of a feeding spell. I went on to have a further 3 Chub (lost one) and two barbel to 7lb 12oz. We had to leave at 15:00, otherwise I am sure I would have had more. All fish fell to feeder pellet and boilie tactics

Water over the stones and coloured. Couple fish seen on the beat. No interest in fly or spinner.

Tough day. 1 small trout caught on a dry before the heavens opened. Plenty of fly life around and occasional rises.

Good day a bit slow to start quite breezy nothing going for spinner at all caught 3 nice rainbow using float and worm also one small Perch which was returned.

Nothin happening on the salmon front, except one that showed in The Tail, despite the Usk appearing to be at a good height. I'd brought the trout rod along too and had seven nice fish up to 2lbs, all but two on dry.
There was a good hatch of what looked like blue winged olives later in the afternoon. Emerging patterns were ignored but a small winged dry fly seemed to do the trick.

Another tough day, heavy rain didn’t help. One barbel and 1 chub. Barbel was 7.8lb which was a new PB for myself. Plenty of interest on pellets but very few hook ups, perhaps a change of tactics were required but rain was prohibitive. 1st two swims to the left of the tree line seemed the most active.

Good day had by all 3 anglers, all caught from different areas of the stretch. Twait or Alice shad (not sure) on an 8mm pellet.
