Fished from 10-3, nothing doing until 1.30 when a sparse and varied hatch brought a few fish to the surface. Two small trout 8” ish ..Greenwells and Para Adams size 16. Shared the fishing with a small Otter which was nice.

Great conditions but not much activity other than during a 15 minute spell around 1pm during a hatch of LDOs, where there were numerous rises to a Kite’s Imperial with one fighting fit fish brought to hand. Thereafter it went quiet. Although this is a lovely beat and a favourite of mine I’m not sure that with this season’s price rise it still represents good value for money.
