Cracking days fishing, most fish caught in the gullies by one angler. Stunning beat and lots of strong healthy grayling, all of which caught were over 2lb biggest around 3. Would use this beat again, Saw a large trout with a 6oz roach in its mouth sulking around the margins.

A lot of weed debris made fishing the lead and feeder tricky. A switch to the float produced one barbel and one lost fish, while a move to the slower water upstream made the weed less of a problem

First visit to Talybont , stunning location set in the Brecon Beacon.
Water visibly lower due to recent weather , a few fish moving with a light ripple on the water and plenty of cloud cover. Fished it just for the morning, 2 fish, both caught on a bibio. Wind started to howl which I thought would get them feeding, but the action seemed to cease when it really got choppy. Will definitely return, would like to see the water levels higher for the next visit , to get out of the mud on the water edge.

A quick couple of hours this evening in the wooded section brought one nice barbel of about 6lbs and two modest chub, the biggest of which was about 3lbs. All fish taken on meat rolled through the swim

The weather was perfect today. Cloudy, but warm and the water levels had improved since my last visit. Had a lovely afternoon fishing the feeder taking 7 barbel, 6 chub and an unexpected perch of about a pound. Managed to lose a few barbel thanks to the hidden sharp rocks dotted all over the peg. Today might have cost me a small fortune in feeders, but it was certainly still worth it.

Beat:Aberbaiden
Fishing:Trout (River)
No. of Anglers:2
River low and quite warm still but we had a good few hours on this very attractive beat. As advised the going was quite tough negotiating the landslip on the quarry pool, but worth doing. A few rises after 7pm but we had our fish earlier in the afternoon on PTN and wet fly. JP repeatedly covered a fish moving at the tail of the top pool, which turned out to be a salmon in some distress so we left it alone.
