Fished 9am to 1pm from middle car park. All fish three-quarters to pound and a half. All but one took size 12 stick fly fished slowly. Great few hours fishing.

Nice level in the river, which was about 30cm up on the summer average, I was fishing feeder and pellet with various baits, no fish but lost at least 6 feeders, might be better when you can wade with a float and a moving bait rather than a static one.

My guest Simon Toms caught a 11lb coloured fish from the Chapel Catch on his first trip to the upper Wye. One happy man.
I on the other hand got chased by cows and fell down the the bank giving me a rather impressive bruise!

Water was high and fishing was not so easy. But we know Irfon is a fantastic river and we managed to land some fishes.
Several 35-40cm graylings. Trouts were 20-25 cm.
