Fished priory pool down to below canoe centre & caught 22lb salmon below canoe centre on black & yellow F/C @ 0930hrs today. Had a bit of an audience watching me land fish, hooks fell out in the net ,quick foto taken of fish in the net & safely returned unharmed.

First time at the beat, very enjoyable. @1'5" today, perhaps a smidge on the low side to get the best from it, but can imagine it holding fish. No Salmon seen, heard, or caught. Around 2pm there was a big hatch of Olives: trout went suitably bananas.

River clear and with good flow. Very little insect life. Air temp 14C . Water temp 8C. Not much moving. Caught both fish on large nymph. Better fish 13 inch.
