Late start for me, but river running nice and clear.
Persevered on float for most of the day, catching a few smaller fish.
We switched to maggot feeder late in the day and then it was a bite every cast.

Hard going today river very low & clear. Just to say the Creel is a lovely stretch to fish if you are a mountain goat otherwise it very dangerous other wise & would benefit if someone would sort the swims out Evan some ropes to get down & up

Low river and cold, wet conditions made fishing difficult and therefore we only caught one grayling the size of my thumb, stark contrast to 2 weeks ago.

My first visit and tried above the bridge and a little bit below the cottage. Recent spate has flattened a lot of undergrowth making access a little easier. Still a lot of barbed wire to negotiate. Summer would be a challenge and more of a wild stream beat. Fish caught on long trotting and euro nymph where I could without wading. Please can we have more of these beats on the Lugg? Must be miles of water available above and below Leominster. Thanks for a great day.

We caught 1 Grayling just under 1lb, from the first swim after the bridge. We tried most ledger methods & baits, boilies, Pellet, cheese paste, red maggots were taken by the Grayling, but no sign of Chub orBarbel. In the afternoon, we moved to the other side, by the rapids & ladder. But no fish caught from here. My colleague has a disability & he found the swims difficult to get down to, can you recommend any other beats with easy access swims.

fished all the swims from waterworks to woods, river looked dead, low and very clear, had a couple of chub rattles and that was all between 2 of us, ist time we have fished this stretch, swims are quite steep but being as it was dry not to bad to access. would be quite tricky in the wet i would think. fished home fishery a few weeks ago opposite bank, and had a very good day, just think fish had switched off, tried all the normal baits, small hooks and small baits nothing worked. We cant remember 2 of us blanking on the Wye before so must have just been conditions, badly in need of some rain.

River a lot lower than when I was here a fortnight ago. Temp a lot lower too, first attempt at wading had me freezing. The swim I'd plumped for gave two Chub type bites before eels starting munching my meat.
Moved and had 6 Chub on the float, sat behind bottom rod for last hour which was weird with a mass of rod trembling but only one further Chub to show for it.
Beautiful beat, beautiful river in beautiful country. Probably last trip this year but will definitely be back
