Very bright and warm for time of year. River clear and reasonably low. Fished from 10am til 4pm. Very little movement seen all day, and only 1 Brownie to approx 1.5lb. Lovely fish taken on an LBJ. Wading easy, lots of wildlife, and a pint of fine cider at Bell before home to wife and kids.
Great day.

Cracking weather and a lovely beat. Access good but some of the pools are REALLY deep for such a small stream.
4 out of season grayling and 1 trout. Strangely no hatch of any kind today.

Stunning beat. 5 Brownies caught on wet fly and nymphs. 3 more lost, 1 an inch from the net! Tricky wading in parts, would recommend a staff. Exceptional hot and sunny day, some rises to a short March Brown hatch but I was too slow switching set ups. Called it a day at 15:30 fairly sun burnt!

Despite the warm weather very little moving all day. In mid afternoon covered one of the very few moving fish and landed a trout just under 1.5 lbs.
That was the only activity for the day.

First outing of the season and 10 trout 4-8 inches to show for my efforts. Fished the duo and caught fish on both the dry fly and the nymph. No real hatch to speak of and the only rises were those to my fly. River has changed somewhat since my visit last season; a few more fallen trees to contend with. Still, a good start to the season.

Fished all day, saw a few rises at about 3 pm - but otherwise not much. The river might have been a little too high for perfect conditions. Caught a small trout on a dry fly in the evening.
Saw some otter foot prints on a muddy bank about halfway up the beat. Lovely beat to fish and will hopefully return soon.
