Lovely spring day in the Cregrina valley. River Looking perfect on arrival around noon. Only managed about 3 hours and got just above the farm. 9 trout with small nymph on the Tenkara rod.

5 rainbow trout caught from bank by main car-park. All on hard lures converted to single barbless hooks.

Weather started off warm and sunny with a reasonable hatch but i saw just a handful of rises along the whole beat. Opted to fish Euro nymph style and had plenty of takes in the faster water.... missed most of them as my reactions are getting a bit slow these days! Had a great day despite the weather turning very wet mid afternoon. The river was fairly clear and i had a very enjoyable day watching the wildlife and new born lambs in the field behind. A very nice venue! Will definitely be back for another shot.

River very coloured, nothing rising until end of day.

All fish taken on ptn except for a large grayling caught at the end of the day on a Klinkhammer.
