River looked great, high hopes only to result in a total failure on my part but that's fishing for you.

What a lovely beat, I think this could become a favourite. It has just the right mix of water to make it fishable with levels 2' up or even down on the gauge. And the owner is a very nice chap too!
My effort on this blustery day began with a quick on/off with a big swirl of silver in the "Pulpit Pool" on the fly; cracking bit of water this. Followed by a well mended kelt on a Flying C in "Church Stream Pool", another stretch that is ideal for spinning but would better suit a fly if water levels dropped.
I found the right bank on the top quarter of the beat could be tricky for casting a fly, unless wading in lower levels than today but on the lower sections the bank is close grazed and very open so, with the deeper water at your feet, a single hander will cover the entire river.
I fished hard all day but still failed to cover all the possibilities. Just have to go again!

Myself and a friend fished the Taf Fawr. Excellent runs/glides and plenty of fly life but no fish feeding just yet. Think its still a little too cold for so high up in the mountains. (Give it until the end of April for dry fly fishing).

No salmon seen or caught. Had one trout about half a pound but water conditions were very good.

One OS grayling 1.5lb, one salmon par, no sign of any trout today. Weather mixed.

River had risen overnight and was relatively coloured - visibility of about 1-2ft, improved over course of the day. 3 rods fished fly and spinning. No salmon but some good fly water on this stretch, beat 2 being the pick of it for me. Would benefit from more detailed notes given the large amount of water but the beat manager was very helpful once found. Will return when it warms up.

No fish too early in the season.

Fished for four hours today on a new beat for me. River was in good nick but fishing conditions were poor ver windy, sun, rain and hail all in one day! I got five trout all between eight and nine inches on spiders and nymphs. A few olives were hatching but I did not see a fish rise - not surprising for the day it was. Nice beat good for a few hours fishing. I'm sure it will fish better after a spell of settled weather.

3 nice fish, 2 at 14", 1 at 17" fishing weighted spiders across the streamy runs - well worth the drive! The "smaller" fish were fairly lean. I caught them between 11am and 1. There was a hatch of olives which started at about 1, after which I caught nothing! No surface activity and no march browns. River was in good order but there was a gusty downstream wind most of the day. Wading staff and polaroids (to see the bottom) were important to me.
