The river looked in a bit better nick after the little rain and snow further up earlier in the week. Had three more kelts all long fish. Fished on Sunday as well and had another kelt. Watched CP lose a big fish after it was almost at the net, had to be 20lb plus. Many thanks to him for his help and advice.

Nice days fishing. Pretty cool day, with intermittent light showers and very brief sunny intervals. The river was up slightly and there was some evidence of snow on the very tops still from earlier in the week. Fish were rising throughout the day with the odd rise here and there until the afternoon with a great hatch of olives. A few granom were still in evidence didn’t really see any hatching but there were a few coming back to egg lay through the day. Had a dozen trout between us to about 1.5lb.

Sadly a blank day. Overcast, chilly and rain at about 13.00. No fish showing although a small hatch at 14.00. However this is an absolutely wonderful beat and I shall be back as soon as possible. First time I have booked on-line and everything - directions etc - worked perfectly.

1 x BT 3/4lb (returned). Conditions cold and overcast. No rises and no hatches, save a couple of March Browns. Tried the dry fly but switched to Hare's Ear nymph and caught one at once, but nothing else. Enjoyable day though.
