Great day fishing. River was up, tea coloured and pushing through but plenty of slower water in the margins. Fished the left hand bank on the bottom with the feeder and had very quick success in the morning with two barbal and two chub. Swim went quiet at midday but came on again later in the afternoon resulting in one more chub. All fish were fin perfect, let them rest up for a good while before they swam off strongly back into the river.
Great communication from the fishing passport team, had a great day and look forward to booking on again in the future. Beautiful scenery on this stretch, kingfishers and lots of song birds for company

One of my favourite's and one I keep coming back to. River was up and fairly coloured, Fished from lunchtime until last light and managed 6 barbel and 9 chub. One of the barbel was a double which is nice. Keeping mobile and baiting a handful of spots kept the bites coming despite the constant heavy rain drenching me all afternoon!

Last trip out fishing with my 8 Yr old grandson, weather was nice at the start of the morning although the water level was up by at least 20' from 2 weeks ago and the water temperature had dropped quite considerably.
We started off worm fished on the bottom at around 10 Mt's no bites 1 liner switched to a longer tail and worm lifter up off the bottom at around 20mts no bites no liners then tried bubble float with worm at 6' deep again no bites. Then for a last chance lil worm off the bottom at 40 Mt's no bites no liners and the weather had turned cold easterly wind with heavy drizzle blowing straight into our face.

So that was our last trip out this year. We will both be ready and itching to go next March.
Tight lines and Merry Christmas !!!! to you all.

The river looked good but bites were very hard to find. Difficult to know the reason but science the level has fallen catches have declined. Only one barbel between two of us. No other fish.
