end of season cast, river dropping and clearing, just a couple of days late to let the fish settle. Numbers again poor for the river so when will the authorities step up and smell the coffee just with a quick look at the river Cree, a small river in Scotland

Last cast for 2023. Llangoed pool looked good fished the fly well but nothing seen or caught.

A very enjoyable day despite no fish seen or felt. A lovely stretch of the river on a beautiful sunny autumnal day!

Had a v brief pull after first cast of the day. Nothing then in Gravel Catch, Bridge Pool and Island stream. Enjoyed the last day anyway and, as a rookie, was able to see small improvements in casting the salmon rod. Joe Cobley’s “more power” advice just beginning to bear fruit!
