River very low at 0.24 despite rain the day before. Colour was good though. 3 anglers fished and fish caught from all along the stretch. It was very slow but a great fishery. The rope on the bottom end of fishery saved me from going in on the slippery banks. Thank you for keeping these in place

Arrived & parked at the top of the beat & walked down most of it before deciding to move the car to the bottom of the beat. We walked the remainder of the section from this point & decided on the first swim opposite the castle ruins which looked a chub & barbel run around 3.5ft deep, steady pace & well oxygenated. First, its worth a mention that the fishery was well sign posted with good parking, paths were good all the way but the top end had some very precarious access, steep & muddy routes down to the swims that looked too dangerous after the recent rain & required proper steps & rails or at least a rope secured at the top to help you down. The swim unfortunately didn't produce the goods for us although my mate did ok with 2 Barbel at 5lb & 6lb & 2 Chub at 3.5 & 2lb. I caught 2 Chub on rolling meat biggest 3lbs & last knockings caught a Barbel around 6lb. Also had 2 small Chub from a swim further upstream on the float.
3 Barbel, 6 Chub
