Same deal as the day before, I fished a little earlier today though, had around 5 takes and caught 2. Both around the same length 12-13”. Lovely evening, trout we rising all over. Both released immediately after a quick photo.

Warm still evening but v little surface action. 1 angler only fished briefly catching a solitary BT. The successful fly (iron blue) of Friday evening was not on the menu tonight. Plenty of bites from midges & horseflies to report though ! On a positive note, managed to find an alternative access route to avoid being gored by the not so friendly bull that nearly got me last night.

The river was just above summer level, but the water clarity was poor compared with when I fished here last year.
The fishing was pretty slow, but still managed a couple of barbel and a few chub.
