Only got to fish for a couple of hours as matters turned out. Lovely beat - mostly flats for trout purposes at this height, but still quite deep in places. Fish quite co-operative to the nymph.
Could not open either fishing hut. Don’t know if access to them is supposed to be thrown in (think the directions mention them) but rather mean spirited I would say if not.

Fishing Passport Note : The huts are mentioned as points of reference but as far as we are aware, the huts are for season rod holder use only. The owner has been asked to confirm.

Fantastic days fishing on the float with nearly 100 Chub 5lb and 3 Barbel to 6lb caught.

1 Trout, 3 Barbel, 90 Chub

Some trout showing, but nothing successfully landed.

Portchers had been there all night as there was a fire ????still soldering and 10 heads and tails ov fish all scattered on the flore....... We did manage to catch 8 decent size fish between the two of us both using worm on the bottom....

I started the day of fishing spiders and then moved on to euro nymphing. As with most rivers at this time of year it was quite low but there were plenty of fish to be caught in the faster deeper runs. Had a great morning fishing in gorgeous countryside, I’ll definitely be returning

9 chub caught biggest about 3lbs and 1 small barbel about 3lbs all caught on meat no takes on pellet
