It's getting ridiculous, fish legally with worm and you get more perch than trout. Something needs to be done it's not cheap going up to usk reservoir costs more for a day ticket than llyn one and you get plagued by perch. Can a no return of perch policy be put in place, because whoever introduced perch in usk reservoir for whatever reason it's beyond me.

Another fantastic evenings fishing, three barbel and three chub.

13 trout and 1 salmon parr. Fantastic beats, Jamie the ghillie was very knowledgeable and marked out which pools to fish by day/night for the conditions. Excellent days fishing.

Cloudy but warm. one or two breezes followed by light showers. Three 7 to 9ins brownies. Two off the top on emergers. One on a nymph as part of a dry dropper. Great fun tempting the first two to rise. There were some flies on/off the water but no fish were rising - so had to have a go.

Beautiful day. The river was slightly up from the previous few days but still crystal clear and the blue sky and sunshine made things tough. No sign of moving fish so I fished single nymphs under yarn. I managed 3 fish in a couple of hours but it was no picnic.

Very little rising although there was a lot of flies hatching, shame I didn’t have enough time to fish the evening rise.
