Fished at the croy upstream of Biblins bridge using stick float and swimfeeder tactics. Shame we had to leave early as bites were coming more regularly post 4pm.

lovely area, more effort needs to be put in to swims, to make it possible to fish . It wouldn't take much effort to clear some of the over hanging branches as this restricts casting and the banks to some swims made safer and easier to acess, Other than that nice place.
This has been mentioned by other anglers before as well.

Rain on and off all day, to dangerous for safety reasons to fish any upstream pegs. Managed to fish one down stream peg all be it with two ropes one to a tree half way down and one to a screw bank stick.( very slippy.)Had an enjoyable day once down on the flat. River rose six inches while fishing. Finished with two barbel best 7.5lb and 15 chub up to 4..5 lb.

Barbel very localised and hard to isolate from the thousands of chub throughout the whole beat. Advanced chub avoidance techniques highly recommended...

Beat:Pond Rhosrydd (Aberystwyth AA)

Fishing:Trout (Stillwater)

A really good day on Rhosrydd. Caught on both sides of the lake - nothing on the dam with best method being 2 wet flies (s.14 bibio on the point and a similar on the dropper but with a silver tinsel butt) on a 15' 6lb leader with an intermediate line. Had a couple of 2lb fish but most around 1lb. Appreciated the access improvements that AAA have made since my previous visit - access road improved, stiles fixed etc. Don't cast too far and keep on the move - lots of fish in red beds on far side of lake but wade carefully.

Nice chub with the biggest nearing 5lb, all on cheese and garlic busters. Lost a big fish in the early evening which I suspect was a barbel by the bite, constant rain made the bank pretty hostile but thems the breaks. Will return for sure

Four anglers, swims steep with limited space so recommend taking a rope. Chub mainly from trotting on the beach at the cattle drink although fortunately no Cattle in the field this time and seems none this year looking at the grass. Fishing was hard though and few and far between. The Dean Macey swim produced as usual.
