The end of an enjoyable and productive week on the Wye and the Usk with most time spent at Ty Newydd. Plenty of fly life and fish caught on a variety of dries and nymphs.

Could not fish as I could not find a safe place to get to water’s edge. The One place near end of pear tree avenue but needed a rope to make sure didn’t fall in as it was very lose. Very disappointing so left without a single cast.

Good day fishing for chub and one barbel very windy but still a nice day

no fish caught .but did lose 2 by net.but still a nice day

15 chub on double 8mm pellet with matching bag of ova pellet attached to the hook 5 up to 3/4lb

Barble also caught on the same method 5lb

Some really nice swims..but many unfishable ..nice strimmed paths lead you to a 12ft drop..or thick mass of willow....as stated in last year's returns , some effort needs to go into making this a great venue..rather than just ok..
