Return trip to this lovely challenging beat for me the novice.
Challenging due to gusty downstream wind and tourists lobbing stones in the salmon pool. Tenacity finally rewarded with a spider on a dropper in the same pool an hour later.

Fished yesterday with no luck and today was the same. Saw people catching perch and saw two trout caught but nothing for me. Everyone I saw was fishing with worms, bottom and a couple float fishing. Went through a multitude of flies again today with not even a rise. Tried a couple of spinners as well. Only saw one fish rise in 6 hours. Does make me wonder when it was last stocked, but it's so beautiful up here I was happy being here just to be outside. Maybe I will have better luck next time I visit.

Beat:Llwyn On Reservoir

Fishing:Trout (Stillwater)

I fished Llwyn on reservoir, weather was windy and rainy but the fish were quite active, had a lot of bites. Managed to catch 4 rainbows, but missed lots of bites... I was fishing a carolina rig with maggots casting quite far. The bailiffs very welcoming and friendly, will def come back

Beat:Cefnllysgwynne

Fishing:Trout (River)

Both fish caught using the Duo method, fish taken on the dropper, small pink scud.
Water was coloured but good height. Access to the river very restricted at the bottom of the beat.
No fish rising at all. Parked at the church, couldn’t see how to access the left bank.

This beat never disappoints. We were unable to access the swim at the point of the island to late in the day as there was another rod already there. No worries the barbel and chub were feeding intermittently throughout the day on the bend swim kindly advised by Colin the bailiff
