River in perfect condition but weather ferociously hot. Barbel fishing slow going but plenty of chub about and lots of small fish if you are that way inclined (which I am)

Didn't enjoy this beat. Opposite bank was crowded and it's very overgrown all along the beat. fishing upstream of the tree line is not worth it as impossible to cast or get to bank.
Fished like a berk which might have clouded my day.
If you come here bring a strimmer!!!

Water at a lovely colour but keeping its height if not rising slightly. Quite a few yellow May's still coming off. Lump of a fish vaulted clean out of the water in the far tail of the Bridge pool. Tomorrow looks promising!
