Nothing except suicidal baby trout

Fished the (very high) tide out on an otherwise low river. The river was very opaque so selected a large bright orange cone head tube. Mentioned about going elsewhere due to the difficult colour. Received an unexpected firm take followed by a tremendous fight with 4 leaps out of water from an angry cock salmon. A fairly fresh 13 lb salmon was landed and safely released. A nice end to a tough season.

Great to be back at Ty Newydd. Nothing on the surface except the expected leaves so spent all day using French leader technique with some success. Mild temperatures and decent water height, some heavy showers mixed in with the frequent light rain showers, a good test for new wading jacket. Sun came out for a glorious end to the day.

7.5lb barbel and 4.5lb chub late in the day.

Lovely stretch of river though top half is largely inaccessable. Fished lower section. Would love to return to try some different swims

Again, good water conditions but only one fish seen and no contact made.

A cool day with rain on and off all day. The river was still low, not affected by the rain yet. Landed 5 grayling at 8" to 13" from various places, all on a small pink shrimp, they do not appear to be in shoals yet. Plus 1 trout, again on the shrimp. And a (pleasant) surprise - a feisty 9" perch, all bold stripes and red fins, again on the shrimp - a very healthy fish.

River levels low fished hard , caught one chub on trotted sweetcorn.

Not as productive as expected after reading previous reports. 9 barbel and 2 chub provided an enjoyable day anyway.
