Fished a dropping flood, several trout fell to my tube fly but no salmon,very enjoyable day though,lovely stretch of the Usk.

Showers throughout the day with occasional calm periods.

Blank. Early morning fishing MTAA's water in slanting sunlight after the storm. The Trostrey gauge was at 1 foot, slowly rising, and the water a quite dark peaty colour. Two fish hooked on size 6 and 8 Bann Shrimp, and both lost, one at the net. There you go. Or there they went.

River low and clear . The day was blustery with a good downpour for the first hour , during this period the only two rises were witnessed and two fish caught one on dry fly one on deep fished nymph, both fish approx.. 8 inch . Fish just not interested in rising and few hatching fly .Third fish of the day taken in the afternoon on deep fished nymph and probably 12 inches..
A most enjoyable day in a lovely part of the country .

3 Trout

Caught two Grilse today (Wed) 5.5 & 4.5 lbs, smaller fish was silver fresh. Both fish took a 1"gold mylar tube fly and gave a good account of themselves. River then rose 9" in two hours which unfortunately put pay to any further fishing. Several fish seen ascending the weir.

2 Salmon

CM and GW second day on the Wye. Both had a good day with fish being caught steadily throughout the day. Fished from 11am until 6.30pm and had 17 Barbel and 1 Chub between us. Thanks.

River up and coloured. All fish to ledgered meat and pellet.

It was a hard day as the river was dirty and very fast. Fished in a back eddy. Both fish were biggish. One at 7.5 and the other just. under 9.

Water running way too fast only fished for an hour then came the pouring rain bit of a wasted journey, I wanted to fish the Irfon but again in spate

River rising all day but we managed 6 between us.
