Blanked. Had a nice one on for a minute at the top end of the lake, where the stream comes in. It stayed deep and didn't jump. No other takes.

5 trout and 1 perch using worm's, a good days fishing. Weather overcast and showery but that's fishing. Several groups seemed to be catching using different methods - worm, spinning and fly.

River low and gin clear and weather bright with heavy down pours, which made for tough angling conditions. Access to the river was difficult with mud and steep slopes. Morning at the top of the swim was a blank. Mid-afternoon at the bottom produced three barbell (8lb, 8lb, 5lb) and a 5lb chub on luncheon meat. Canoeists were friendly and the location is stunning.

Horrendous weather it poured down all day and really windy. Fished several swims finding the odd fish. I am a little fed up of complaining about the end tackle of other anglers. Had a big barbel that had 3 foot of 25lb coated hooklink and a size 4 hook stuck in its throat, now all safely and carefully removed. If you want to fish like that go to a lake and catch some carp....
Very snaggy in places with lots of weed.

Not quite as good a day as the numbers suggest as the largest barbel was only a pound and a half, enjoyable nontheless. Would have moved to try and find the larger fish but it was constant showers all afternoon and evening and I was in a sheltered spot. Other was an eel. A nice beat, hope to come back soon.
