Wonderful day's fishing on the Edw. Very dry but some great little pools and runs to French nymph down. Only small trout caught but saw some reasonable sized ones - though they didn't want to eat any flies I offered them. Will certainly be back

3 x 1/2 lb trout with characteristic black and white edge to fin on claret bumble. Llyn very low and all fish at max range out in middle, no success with fish and step short casts in the margins. Good hatch of large sedge late on and lots of aggressive takes from what look to be good fish well out of range!

Another sunny day on the Wye. The first swim was a slow water glide and it produced two barbel and 4 chub and a big eel (2lbs) but as the day got hotter sport slowed and I moved to a fast swim where the river rejoins after the Island. Very difficult to fish due to the high bank and overhanging trees but whenever I did manage to cast my free lined luncheon meat was taken, mostly barbel to 6lbs and two small chub and another eel. The numerous canoeists did not seem to effect the fishing except for the delay in waiting for them to clear the swim. Lovely place and good value.

Hot, bright and river very low. Fish very spooky due to the river level however I managed two 8" trout on a nymph at the beginning of the session and then a 14" on a dry in the evening. Clearly some decent fish in the stretch and I look forward to returning in more favorable conditions.

A very low and clear river and bright sunshine, so it was always going to be hard, 2 of us fished beat 4 and had 1 barbel and 4 chub on hair rigged 8 mm pellet, and the other 2 fished beat 2 and had 10 barbel between 4and 8 lb on single and double pellet

1st visit to the Wye, conditions far from ideal very hot and obviously no or little rain for the previous 2 months. 4 of us fished, 2 of our group blanked. After chatting to a very helpful Peter the fishery manager /bailiff he put us on to some better swims, one being the Thomas wood cribb which had better flow, managed a small barbel and 2 eels which fought quite hard, on open end feeder with groundbait and pellets with luncheon meat on the hook. Also chublets and dace caught on maggots on float.
Would just like to add due to the group of us taking quite a lot of tackle and needing trollies we couldn't get them past some fallen trees and we struggled to get our tackle to the far pegs.
Absolutely lovely place but could you clear the pegs better please.
Stunning scenery
