First day out this season. River 0.82m steady and clear. Weather (too) beautiful and beat looking fantastic as usual. Spent a few hours disturbing the usual lies with the 15 footer but no sign of salmo salar. Common sense eventually prevailed and then spent a couple of very enjoyable hours trying to entice the local trout population. Grannom hatched in variable quantities from 10 till 3 but few fish rising. Only the occasional L.D.O. seen and no March Browns . Had a very feisty 8 oz brownie on a Grannom pupa and two other pulls. Then retired to a certain fishing tackle shop for a cup of tea. A hugely enjoyable day.

Beat:Parc Fishery
Fishing:Trout (River)

Perhaps a little too early in the year for this nice looking beat. The section below the bridge is fast and tumbling, above the bridge is slower in character and has larger runs and glides. Plenty of nymphs in the river, not many hatching. And no sign of trout. An interesting wild stream.

Tough day at the Rocks but extremely enjoyable. River was fairly high and running extremely fast but success came from fishing mostly Czech Nymphs and later in the afternoon a few fish to dry's.
