Lovely afternoon on a lovely stretch of river. Wind caused us problems. The lower stretch of the beat hard to access due to it being slow and deep and the banks over grown. Also a wedding party going on in the field right next to the wier made for a little disturbance to the tranquillity of the setting.

Amazing evenings fishing. Arrived at 1pm but decided not to bother setting up due to the number of canoes. With the river being so low swims were limited because of boat traffic but finally started fishing about 5pm. Bait was hemp and ellipse pellet, I fished for 4 hours and had a take on every cast. I caught 22 and lost severel more. had 4 fish around 8-9lb the rest averaging between 2-5lb. Fantastic river when you can find these barbel.

Fantastic day on this beautiful beat. Warm and overcast provided the opportunity to start and fish the full day on dries. Starting of with the klink n dink which produced a few fish to the Nymph, but within a hour the fish were onto the dry. Klinkhammer special in #14 being the fly used all day. Had to change the fly half way through the day as the fish destroyed the first one. Not a great deal of fish seen rising, but they were pretty keen to rise to my fly if it went over then. A lot of caddis on the water with a few bwos. Fished to about 5pm and by then I was, knackered but extremely satisfied with the day. I said 30 grayling, but I stopped counting at twenty and that was a 1pm. Nothing of any great size biggest being grayling of 15" and brown of 14".

Low, clear water made conditions difficult although pocket water proved proved productive with many more fish missed. Group of goosanders spotted 50 yards downstream of the parking area on arrival.

Fished between 1400 & 1700 hours. Temp 22°, fairly heavy cloud, seemed promising, but failed to tempt a single fish, in fact only saw one small fish. But still a pleasant way to pass a few hours.

I enjoyed this fishing because I concentrated on using a light rod and a spinner. Two rainbows in fine fettle and dropped a third. Also, tried worm under a float but no interest. I fished in the bay and from the concrete by the dam wall. Had another follow my spinner right to the waters edge. I noticed that quite a few people were "camping" both in motor homes and tents/bonfires - I didn't know this was permitted, but I guess if they behave appropriately and pay for a ticket to fish (if they fish) then this is no problem.

4 trout. Fished from 8.00 pm to 9.30pm. A quick move here from the Senni paid off. Flow very low, plenty of refusals and boils under dry adams in still pools. Best fish 14 inch rest 7 - 9 inch. Lots of tiny salmon parr about trying to drown the fly!

The river was quite clear and fairly low, we fished under bushes in the eddies with a ground bait feeder and luncheon meat. We were told by everyone that we should go for long hook lengths as it was going to be tough going but had no luck so shortened eventually down to 1 foot and all fish fell to this rig. Fish sizes - barbel 5lb 9oz, 6lb and 10lb 3oz, Chub 3lb.
