River looked in good condition - 3 foot or so below recent levels when I have visisted, a little colour but not too bad. Lots of rubbish coming down. One small chub for our efforts.

Another tough session on Sugwas court, barbel not very obliging. Only one chub of around 2.5 pounds caught between two anglers, variety of baits tried including pellets, corn, maggots on maggot clip and meat. River was dropping and looked fantastic, couple of disco canoes(music blaring) went past to add to our misery although probably didn't affect the fish too much as they must have been elsewhere.

One bite, one chub on maggots but apart from excessive number of pheasants and a pleasant day. First time on beat, parking a problem as field not available due to ground conditions.

Started fishing at 1pm at the Orchard car park swim but nothing. Moved down one swim to a swim with difficult access and caught 4 barbel of about 4-5lbs within the next hour. After that it went quiet. I moved up stream to the wooded section where it appears shallower but no more bites. Still a lovely day in a lovely setting.

Water was chilly and fairly high so the fishing was not easy but managed to catch 3 barbel and a good chub.

2 barbel, 8.5-9lbs and 6-7lbs. 3 chub, between 3 and 5.5lbs. Lovely beat but unfortunately in the swim I was fishing, a previous angler had discarded a lot of monofilament, rolled it up in a ball and left it in the hedge, not to mention a few hook lengths also with hooks and split shot still attached. Very dangerous for wildlife. Also a polystyrene cup. Quite why some people can't take their rubbish home with them is beyond me. A very enjoyable day other than that. Thanks WUF.

Water temperature was just 10 degees C and the water was coloured and pushing through at a fair rate, needed 4 oz to hold bottom. Tried the first peg by the fence in the morning witout a bite and then tried the peg with the pipes in the middle of the meadow with the same result later in the day, but hey thats fishing.

Another great day, 6 barbel and 1 chub. Caught barbel from middle of beat just past islands. Pellet tactics being favorable once more.

River dropping through the day, still carrying some colour. Quite a bit of debris in the water. Roved during the day landing 3 barbel and a chub. As always a great day on one of my favourite stretches of river.
