A good day, there was some colour in the water which made wading a little more challenging. All fish caught were very small largest being around 8-9 inches long.

Guest had 1 x 10 inch brown released then catch and release at distance on a few others. Missed one monster - saw its flank and would put it well over 3lbs. Know where it lives now. River coloured and things got tough so left for another venue and picked up 6 small trout/parr on dries and a lot more catch and release at distance.

2 barbel, 6 chub. Most fish caught on rolling meat, fishing
was very hard. Barbel not feeding for some reason. Not my favourite beat, very poor return for 3 rods fishing hard all day. Never mind, some days are like this, always next time.

Beat:The River Dore - Abbey Dore
Fishing:Trout (River)
No. of Anglers:2
After a wonderful week fishing roving voucher waters we decided to return to Abbey Dore for our last day.
Full of originality we used exactly the same duo tactics as we had all week. Quickly into fish things were looking good - a brown trout on second cast. Next fish was another brown and the best of the week; perhaps nudging a pound.
Fish started to come steadily but as the sun got higher and brighter the takes started to dry up and it was time to head home.
The session finished with 4 trout and a single grayling.
